Bidder Terms

⚠️ ATTORNEY REVIEW REQUIRED BEFORE USE — complete working draft, not reviewed by counsel. Sections marked [COUNSEL] need specific attention.

Version 2026-11-01

These terms apply when you bid or buy on dbcollectiblesllc.com. You accept them when you add a card to your account. Please read Sections 3 and 4 carefully — they explain that your bid is binding and that we charge your card automatically.

1. Who we are

D&B Collectibles, LLC sells graded trading cards at auction, both our own and cards consigned to us by others. Every card is graded, authenticated, and physically in our possession before it is listed. We do not list a card we do not have.

2. Your account

You must be at least 18 and provide accurate information.

To bid, you need a card on file. You can browse, watch lots, and follow live broadcasts without one. The bid button unlocks once you have a valid card saved and have accepted these terms.

Keep your login secure. You are responsible for bids placed from your account.

3. Bidding

A bid is a binding offer to buy. If you win, you have bought the lot. Bids cannot be retracted. Please do not bid unless you intend to complete the purchase.

Prices are all-in. The number you see is the number you pay for the lot. Our 15% buyer premium is already included in every displayed price and every bid you place. Nothing is added at checkout except applicable sales tax and shipping.

Maximum bids. You may enter the most you are willing to pay. We bid on your behalf only as much as needed to keep you in the lead, up to that amount. Your maximum is never shown to other bidders. If two bidders enter the same maximum, the earlier one wins.

When lots close. Every lot has a published closing time.

  • A bid in the final 60 seconds adds 1 minute to the clock, up to 20 times.
  • During a live broadcast the host may add up to 5 further minutes, one minute at a time.
  • If a reserve has not been met at closing, bidding stays open for up to three further 5-minute periods.
  • No lot will ever run more than one hour past its scheduled close.

These rules are shown on every lot page. The clock on our server is authoritative; if your device's clock differs, ours governs.

You cannot bid on a lot you consigned.

4. Winning, and how you are charged

We charge your card on file automatically the moment you win. There is no checkout step and no cart. By saving a card and accepting these terms, you authorize us to charge it for any lot you win, plus sales tax and shipping, without further action from you.

This is a merchant-initiated payment for a purchase you made by bidding. You are authorizing it now, in advance, for a specific and limited purpose.

Store credit. If you have store credit and have opted to use it, it is applied before your card is charged.

If your card is declined. We reopen the lot briefly so you can fix the payment. Your bank may also require you to approve the charge in its app — that is a bank security check, not an error, and approving it completes the purchase.

If payment is not completed after we reopen the lot, we may offer the lot to the next highest bidder and record a strike on your account. Three strikes and your bidding privileges are suspended.

5. All sales are final

We do not accept returns. This is an auction. You are buying a specific, photographed, graded card whose condition has been independently assessed by the grading company and disclosed in the listing.

Before bidding, review the photographs, the grade, and the certification number. Every certification number we publish has been verified against the grading company's own database.

What we will make right. If a card arrives materially different from what was listed — a different card, a different grade, or damage that occurred before we shipped it — contact us within 3 days of delivery with photographs. We will investigate and make it right. That commitment is separate from returns, and it is not a change-of-mind policy.

6. Shipping

Every lot ships individually, insured, via USPS. We do not combine lots into one package, because carrier insurance is capped per package and combining would leave part of the value uninsured.

Higher-value lots ship via USPS Registered Mail and require a signature. Registered Mail is hand-signed at every transfer and takes longer in transit.

Every package is photographed before it is sealed.

Risk of loss passes to you on delivery. If a package is lost or damaged in transit, contact us and we will file the insurance claim.

7. Sales tax

We collect and remit sales tax where required. Tax is calculated at the time of purchase based on your shipping address and shown on your receipt.

8. Store credit and rewards

Store credit, reward points, and referral bonuses are promotional and have no cash value. They cannot be withdrawn, transferred, or redeemed for cash. They may be spent on our platform only.

Unspent store credit and unredeemed points expire after 12 months of account inactivity. We will notify you before that happens.

We may adjust, suspend, or cancel promotional balances obtained through error, abuse, or fraud.

[COUNSEL] *State gift-card and escheatment statutes vary in whether they reach non-cash promotional credit. Counsel should confirm the expiry term and whether any state requires escheatment of unused balances.*

9. Live broadcasts

Live broadcasts are optional. You can bid on any lot whether or not you are watching. Nothing shown on a broadcast changes a lot's published rules.

Chat is moderated. We may remove messages and restrict participation. Do not post anything unlawful, harassing, or designed to mislead other bidders.

Broadcasts are recorded and may be replayed. By participating in chat you agree your handle and messages may appear in the recording.

10. Things you must not do

  • Bid without intending to pay.
  • Use another person's payment method without authorization.
  • Coordinate with others to suppress or inflate bidding.
  • Create additional accounts to evade a suspension or a strike.
  • Scrape, automate, or interfere with the platform.

We may suspend or close an account for any of these.

11. Availability

We aim to keep the platform running, especially during live events. We do not guarantee uninterrupted service. If a technical fault materially affects a lot's outcome, we may extend, void, or rerun that lot, and we will tell you what we did and why.

12. Limitation of liability

Our total liability for any claim relating to a purchase is limited to the amount you paid for the lot in question. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, including any change in a card's market value.

Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law, including for fraud.

13. Privacy

Our Privacy Policy explains what we collect and why. Payment details are handled by Stripe and never stored on our servers.

14. Changes

We may update these terms. Material changes require you to accept the new version before bidding again. The version in force when you bid governs that bid.

15. Disputes

[COUNSEL] *Choice of law, venue, arbitration, and class-action waiver.*

16. Contact

Questions before you bid are always welcome. Reach us through the contact page and reference the lot number.
